Contemporary polished calf binding with cross-hatching front and back and with decorative gilt dentelle border within double ruled frame to boards, five gilt tooled bands to spine, gilt lettering. Spine and edges rubbed; armorial bookplate to front paste-down; plain stiff endpapers; page edges discoloured due to age. Otherwise, a tight, pleasant copy.

Inscription reads: "Richard Cooke Winpenny 24th Octo 1811. John Winpenny from his affectionate father."
